The climate is  strongly varies from one place to the next in the territory of Turkey.
Subtropical transitional climate. The coast of Black sea and the lower parts of the slopes of Pontian mountains have a climate, transitional from the Mediterranean to the moist subtropical. Its soft nature is caused by the influence of sea air masses and by the shielding role of the mountains, which impede penetration on the coast of cold atmospheric flows from the internal regions of the country. In the coldest month of year mean temperatures compose 40-45º F, into hottest (usually this August) 68-75º F. The daily variations of temperatures rarely are sharp. Sediments it is sufficient: from 25" per year in the West to more than 100" in the East. They fall out into all seasons, but predominantly since October until March.
Subtropical Mediterranean climate. The coast of the Aegean and Mediterranean they have typically Mediterranean climate with the hot dry summer and the warm rainy winter. Usually for one - three] of the summer f month are fallen less than 1" of sediments. Their average annual sum in the coastal zone of the seas named above and the sea of Marmara reaches 20-30", in the internal regions 15-20", but on the slopes of Taver by places it exceeds 30". In the hottest summer month average temperatures vary from 24º F in Istanbul to 80º F in Izmir and 82º F in Adan, in the daytime usually rising to 90-95º F, and at night falling on 42-50º F. The average values of the coldest month comprise on the coast of 40-48º F, and in the internal regions of 35º F. In winter in the day time frequently there is solarly heat-, the frost occur at night.
Semiarid climate. The climate of Anatolian plateau defines as semiarid. It is in summer relatively hot, is in winter coldly. In the summer months air is wormed on the average to 68-75º F, rising by day to 80-90º F and descending by night to 50-60º F. The average indices of January by several degrees lower than freezing point, moreover at night are noted frost to 0º F and below. The annual standard of sediments does not exceed 20", but, as a rule, it leaves more than 10".
Continental climate. This type of climate is characteristic for the Armenian upland and is characterized by severe and prolonged winter. In the south, in Diyarbakir, average January temperature composes - 32º F. In the mountains and on the plateau it is reduced to 15º F, falling at night to -1º F, and sometimes to -40º F. East Turkey forms the region sole in the country, where the agriculture in the winter period is practically impossible. Summer is dry and is hot: on the average the post of thermometer shows 65-88º f, but in this case significant drops in daily temperatures are observed. In the alpine localities the frost are even in summer. The eastern part of the country as a whole obtains sufficiently atmospheric precipitations; their average annual quantity changes, depending on position and exposure of slopes, from around. 15"  to 30". For six cold months is fallen, as a rule, more sediments, than to the remaining half-year.
